We have two primary schools in our parish. Our minister visits both of these schools to take assemblies on a regular basis. Children from the schools are invited to the church. We are currently involved in the building of the brand new joint denominational school, Emmaus.

The parish is situated on the South East of the city centre and comprises both local authority and private housing, including two large blocks of flats. As the housing is built on higher land there are views of the city and hills in the distance. The diversity of people who live and work here enrich our congregation both spiritually and practically.

St John's is a historic Church, built in 1834 - one of the six original Sheffield parishes. If you are tracing your family tree, the Churchyard still contains all the original gravestones dating back to 1834. We keep records of weddings and baptisms for the last 30 or so years - for older records, contact the Sheffield Archives (see Links page).

Caring and sharing is the privilege of every member of St John Park Church. We believe that the Good News of Jesus is just too good to keep to ourselves. The minister makes pastoral visits and will take communion to those who are unable to come to church.
