Bible Study, Praise and Prayer
|
Many people in our congregation meet together during the week, in homes around the parish, for the purpose of Bible study, prayer, praise and fellowship. We have found that meeting in smaller groups enables members to get to know each other more intimately than would be possible after church on a Sunday. Through sharing and learning together, we care for each other and support one another. (Galatians 6 v 5, bear one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ'.) In addition the members of our Parochial Church Council (PCC) meet regularly together to discuss and make decisions on matters pertaining to church life and witness. We have two church wardens who together with the minister have recently been engaged in selecting a new vicar to serve our parish. Members of the congregation meet with people from the community for social activities including cricket.
